1. Informational Content Only
All content on FloridaESALetter.org — including articles, FAQs, and descriptions of ESA and PSD laws — is provided for general informational purposes only. It is not medical advice, psychological advice, or legal advice, and it does not create a clinician–patient relationship.
2. Evaluations Create the Clinical Relationship
A clinician–patient relationship is formed only when you complete a live telehealth evaluation with one of the independent, licensed mental health professionals available through our platform. Any clinical determinations — including whether you qualify for an ESA or PSD letter — are made solely by that clinician based on their professional judgment.
3. Not a Substitute for Ongoing Care
An ESA or PSD evaluation is a focused documentation visit. It is not a substitute for comprehensive mental health treatment, therapy, medication management, or care from your regular providers. If you are experiencing worsening symptoms, please seek care from a qualified professional.
4. Emergencies
Do not use this website in an emergency. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, thoughts of harming yourself or others, or any medical emergency, call 911 or call/text the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline immediately.
5. No Guaranteed Outcomes
We make no guarantee that any landlord, housing provider, airline, or other third party will accept documentation, as those decisions are governed by applicable law and the third party's own review process. Laws regarding assistance animals change; content on this site may not reflect the most recent legal developments.
